Happy Happy Birthday! :)
I know today isn't ideal, driving 7 hours home leaving your little girl behind at college. But even though we're apart I just want to let you know how much I love you.
Thank you so much for everything you do for me, for providing for our family, and for loving me. This summer went by so fast, and I wish I could have spent more time with you, going on bike rides and to baseball games. Those are my favorite.
Even though neither Hannah or I got your ice blue eyes, many of my characteristics come from you. I learned to appreciate others and be friendly and forgiving. I learned to be faithful, even when things get hard. I even learned to love maps and to not rely solely on GPS :) When I was a child you taught me go explore outside and not play video games like everyone else my age was doing. Thank you. :) I learned to love learning and always do my best. And even when I failed, you always would encourage me. You always made sure that I could reach my highest potential.
Last week when I was looking through all of our old albums full of pictures when I was little, I came across a picture of one of my most favorite memories: playing bicycle with our feet! I remember giggling constantly while trying to "pedal".
What is up with my hair there?!
There's so much more I want to say, but one blog post wouldn't be enough.
I miss you already.
But I'll come see you as soon as possible :)
Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you.
